Which Mutual Funds have facility to switch another Mutual Fund?
Most mutual funds offer the facility of switching from one mutual fund to another within the same mutual fund house or family. This is known as an intra-fund switch.
For example, if you have invested in a large-cap equity mutual fund and want to switch to a mid-cap equity mutual fund, you can do so within the same mutual fund house. Similarly, you can switch from a debt mutual fund to an equity mutual fund or vice versa.
However, switching from one mutual fund house to another is known as an inter-fund switch and is not available in most mutual funds.
It's important to note that there may be some conditions or restrictions on switching between mutual funds, such as minimum holding periods or maximum number of switches per year. It's always a good idea to check with the mutual fund company or your financial advisor before making any switches.
In India, there are several mutual fund companies that offer the facility to switch from one mutual fund scheme to another within the same fund house. Here are some of the mutual fund companies that offer this facility:
SBI Mutual Fund
HDFC Mutual Fund
ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund
Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund
Axis Mutual Fund
Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund
Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund
DSP Mutual Fund
IDFC Mutual Fund
Nippon India Mutual Fund
It's important to note that not all mutual fund schemes within a fund house may offer the facility to switch. Therefore, investors should check with the fund house and read the scheme information document (SID) to understand the terms and conditions before investing.
